🇧🇷 Brazil hosted the first-ever South American National Football League (NFL) game on Friday. The Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers, along with 80K pounds of equipment, made the journey down to São Paulo, where their game saw over 42K fans and a halftime show headlined by none other than local star Anitta. Local soccer politics even played out based on team colors, as Brazil’s largest city has a century-old rivalry between the Corinthians and Palmeiras teams.

🇨🇱 Chile's economy grew by 1% in July 2024, marking its fastest monthly expansion in six months and surpassing expectations of 0.9%. Year-on-year economic activity rose by 4.2%, driven by gains in industry (4.4%) and services (1.6%), though mining declined by 2.5%. This growth comes as Chile’s central bank is expected to lower interest rates further, continuing its efforts to stimulate the economy after a challenging second quarter that saw a 0.6% contraction.
